Read Across America Reading Program
Nationally, Read Across America annually brings the joys of reading to students of all ages and makes children valued and welcome. The major thrust of the year-round program is the nationwide reading celebration that takes place each year in or near March. The annual event is part of Reading Across America, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association. The NEA wants to express and increase the love of reading through outreach to students throughout the nation during the month of March.
